So /biz/ Which is better Electrical or Mechanical engineering. Keep in mind that I'm not in America so job prospects for both are good. One of the main things holding me from jumping at mechanical is that I need a masters. If you work in either field please give me some insight into what you do generally.
why do you need masters?
EE with a focus on like energy distribution is probably a safer bet in general, but if you've got a big manufacturing industry in your country mechanical might be better.
Both are decent professions though.
There's also a lot more overlap than you'd expect, so I wouldn't be too worried about getting it right.

In general job prospects are harder if you don't have a masters in engineering. The only field where this isn't the case is electrical.

Mech engineering will most likely make you program anyway. Better like matlab, Python and C++
