How practical is the idea of buying cheap chinese goods off of alibaba and selling them on craigslist for 50-200% profit?

What sells and what doesn't? I see those self-balancing scooters everywhere these days and they sell for about $400 in the mall and on CL. I can get them for $120 on alibaba. I imagine there are plenty of products in this situation; bluetooth speakers, wireless chargers, tablets, etc.

Could I make some money off this idea?

you always could buy broken iphones and pay to have the screen replaced, and then sell them
