Can anyone big be trusted when they say the economy is just fine?

Can anyone big be trusted when they say the economy is just fine?

Like is there any big company, institution, person, -basically people who have the resources to get a message to lots of people- who doesn't have a vested interest in this?

People with a large portfolio would generally have a net long position, companies obviously want their share price to be going good, government obviously has a strong dislike of market instability.

For instance: businesses are closing here (Europe), what does this mean? Recession is probably already here.
