op as far as ERP goes that's a pretty tough niche to fill. I've known some people who used to trade steam games/keys/commodities for erp services and there are a few prolific writers who get their stuff published. the furry community is very visual and that is where the money is.

honestly this is what I'm thinking about doing; I've got some connections in the industry and am looking to build up my following. With just the first published piece, thanks to cross-promotion, I gained around 40 followers.
That's not a lot, but mind you, that's from *nothing*. If I continue to do cross promotion (ie, write porn of other popular furs while pandering to fetishes, which I will admit, for a degenerate like me, is actually pretty enjoyable) then I'm sure getting a few thousand dedicated followers within the span of a year isn't impossible.

Commissions are not your best option, in my opinion.
What I would do, is pander to trends (undertale being a big one) to gain following, have some of your own characters, and merchandise sfw content of them while drawing porn. (Spreadshirt that shit up) open a patreon, have the merchandise, do commissions on the side, but only as many as you feel like, and gain popularity by drawing other popufur characters.
I can't draw, so it doesn't apply as much to me, but writing scenes using popular furries that I've befriended boosted my popularity dramatically.
