This is probably a dumb question, but what's to stop someone making a news site and just plagiarizing the fuck out of every other major news outlet?

Just change some of the wording in each article so it's not an exact rip, and also has your own spin.

Seems like it would be easy as fuck to run. You basically get free content while washingtonpost and BBC pay the authors for you.

Thoughts?

Not sure what the actual laws are, but the owner of said piece can file a DMCA complaint against you and Google and other major search engines will remove the search results for the content and or your site.
