My friend in china said that it can't possibly go lower as all the bad/stupid investors are out of the market. He's got about $15,000 in ICBC securities, I'm seriously thinking about buying them since he's offering them to me below the current market rate.

Same could be said about the opposite. All the good investors are already out so you should be too. Only the dumb/stupid investors are still in.
Just do what I'm doing and wait to see what happens given we're overdue for a recession.
