Yes, however, the government is likely going to raid these or otherwise change the rules before most of us reach 59 1/2.

I'm over the income limit, but generally they won't be as good a vehicle for retirement as 401K's with matching due to the fact that saving for retirement tends to limit how aggressive people are willing to be. They're great for speculation though.
