I'm applying to work frontline at banks in my city, what aspects of finance and economics should I read about / brush up on so I can demonstrate I know what to do? I have a BBA but have been out of the /biz/ loop for a while and I went to a shit school that taught barely any finance
Frontline? As in a teller? Don't need to know anything other than how to use their system. No one wants your financial advice. You direct customers to the banks products, not your profound insight

I worked at a library for 2 years using an online system and database, you're telling me that should be enough? A friend of mine works at a bank and he says he's learned a lot from working the frontline, it's not just grunt work.
That said I suppose I should have clarified, I want to work frontline and be promoted from there, so if I know my shit going in then the promotion can come faster. I know working as the teller is not difficult.

Brush up on smiling and not fucking up 3 digit addition and subtraction. If you are already good at both, you're going to get a lot of "you are overqualified for this role".
