How do I develop a work ethic
I read about people that work 100 hours per week and I don't know how they do it. Is it a matter of just forcing yourself to do it, or making it enjoyable, or gradually increase the amount of work you do so you aren't ever stressed out by the increased workload? A high work ethic is essential to accomplishing anything and I must develop it if I hope to amount to something.
How to learn?
Here's how Elon Musk describes his learning method:
>Frankly, though, I think most people can learn a lot more than they think they can. They sell themselves short without trying.
>One bit of advice: it is important to view knowledge as sort of a semantic tree -- make sure you understand the fundamental principles, ie the trunk and big branches, before you get into the leaves/details or there is nothing for them to hang on to.
Is Elon Musk saying that I start with the most basic premises, build upon it and create connections between knowledge points in my head?
What is the best method to truly 'know' something?
How do you go about learning and building your knowledge?
1 last thing.
I went into the CBD (Central Business District) last week and met up with a couple of gold dealers to buy some bullion. They were both men in their mid to late 20s and something I noticed about them was that they had such a calm and confident gaze; it was so affecting that looking into their eyes made me feel like my heartbeat slowed down (no homo). As someone riddled with anxiety I have no fucking idea how they are so... cool. What is it that gives them that quality? It's a really competitive field by the way so these guys are definitely ambitious and competent.
