There is a lot of desert land for sale cheap.

What is a good way for a 22 year old with very little money to my name to monetize it?

I realize if it was easy that everyone would be doing it, but just curious.

First thought was solar. But its expensive and not easy to get into. Any tips, boss?

depends on the state. they all have weird laws and you might get fucked over if it turns out the land you buy is home to an endangered scorpion of a fucking cactus bird or some shit.

The problem with cheap land is that it's either going to:

A) surrounding land will never develop in your lifetime

b) will develop, but the taxes will climb faster than you can monetize the land.

c) you get muscled over right when it shows promise.

You would be better off buying dirt cheap industrial chunks of a town/city that lost it's ass after NAFTA.

Im in arizona.

I was thinking about trying to produce something off the land like rare peppers and spices or something.

Im not too worried about the area being developed for a while. If i can shape a new desert destination in the distant future that would be great though. Im more thinking about the land thats in bumfuck nowhere.

maybe you could turn your slice of land into a desert oasis. that'd be cool

If i can find a reliable way to get water I would love to.

I have a feeling that a well that deep would be astronomically expensive though.

It would be. Not to mention you don't have the rights to a single drop that comes out of the ground.

you might not need a well.
This guy goes around the world doing things like this.

throwing out there if you or anyone may be interested

I always think about making this primitive hippie resort where rich white kids can come to stick it to their parents

Interesting. I'll have to watch in further detail when i get off work. There are some other decent looking ideas in the suggestions too.

Recreation is your biggest bet. People don't go to the desert for business, but they would for fun.

Try some sort of huge go-kart/atv/dirt bike racing track. Paving over the natural desert geography without leveling anything would save money and add to the fun

>people dont go to the desert for business

Yeah, but is there anything I can produce that I could sell in town or online?

cacti

Also Arizona. Also consider buying bulk cheap land

Go buy some equipment from ASTI and start a solar grid.

Scoop the sand, make into sand bags. With global warming revving up, we're seeing more and more floods.

I have hope in the company considering i just went testicles depth on their stock, but i dont think I could afford that many panels, and if I could how would I monitize the power emitted?

Most power companies would laugh in your face if you asked them to hook up. Is there another way to make money from it?

Make a bunch of prickly pear flavored shit and sell it to tourists in Sedona.

Solar panels and thermal battery chargers

If I ever go all the way and open up an escort agency, my exit strategy is to buy up land in a certain third world country and grow dragon fruit there. Dragon fruit grows on cacti, which thrive in the desert. It takes two years to get a crop, but that's fine with me.

Then I can quickly shuffle the fruit to China and make bank.

Be careful, shithole countries don't understand the consequences of reputation and may fuck you over. Just look at what Zimbabwe did to every single white business owner and farmer in the country.

That is the risk.
