Debts $9m

(All figures are in NZD)

How? Invested in google, apple, xero, tesla, microsoft, oracle etc in the depths of the recession, left stock pf to appreciate while working as an analyst for credit Suisse in various overseas locations.

Initial capital started at 150k I saved/made working 80 hour weeks from 17-21, small time investments. From 150k I made $400k off one investment (pure luck), took the 400k brought, did up and sold 5 houses, made 1m net, invested 1m in equities in depth of recession. Made ~72% return pa over 5 years, by this point I had ~ $6-7m (inclu savings from work ). Used my stock pf as collateral + down payment on a central Auckland office building that was 65% leased out, after buying and spending 200k it's fully leased for WALT of 15 years. Thus causing the valuation to increase, used cash flow from this to buy another commercial building, an old warehouse that I'll convert to residential....

I don't know much about Mapleland but if you were in the US I'd recommend applying for government aid and getting an entry-level job ASAP. You seriously should at least be doing some shitty part-time gig and building a resume. Also, here you get additional gov aid if you're in school, so go to community college at least part-time.

Again, I'm not sure how much of that advice can be applied to you, but it's all I've got.

You're a lying cunt, feeding false ideas to people yurning to succeed just because you want to feel better about yourself. It's 10 times more frugal to buy a cheap shitty car than taking taxi everyday like you're now supposed to do if you truly where in such business.

You can't even give consistency to your lies, how do you expect anyone to believe your BS and also how do you expect to succeed at anything ?

Watches are also a depreciating asset, and no don't "muh collection watch" me; then you could have bought a collection car and drive with it, but you didn't.

You've obviously never lived in a first tierr city- it's not about the car cost, it's about parking costs. A garage spot in my neighborhood of Manhattan costs 450+/month. cab rides cost me <100 a month.

Wow, you're saving a shit ton. I'm going to a trade school and got into this job. Didn't work at all my first couple semesters so I'm behind in savings.

I doubt I'll stay in the electrical field, though. My back hurts like hell a lot and degenerative disc disease is common in my family. Don't think l could handle a couple more years just in hopes that I would do less grunt work and more electrical work. Hope the field works out well for you, man.
>>
>>1020849

Thanks, things are shaping up well. Will have my J-card in 2 years. What state are you in?
>>
>>1020854

KY. Here, if you got through the trade school we have 3 years out of 6 years completed towards our J-card. I'm 2.5 years away from getting mine. Got in trade school after my junior year of high school.
>>
>>1020888

Nice. Florida has something similar.

School + 8,000 logged working hours= J-card
or
12.000 logged working hours and nothing else=J-card

My company sends me to school for free. The only thing that sucks is going to 3 hours of class twice a week after 12 hour days. The schooling guarantees twice-annual raises, though.

If you can, make it to your Journeyman's license. It's hard work, and you said your body can't handle it, but if you make it work, you'll be a step ahead all those other methhead "sparkys" in Kentucky.

Call up a few companies and ask if they offer apprenticeship programs. If they do, go for it. If not, take the job anyway. The only way to know the best avenue of success in any industry is to become part of the industry. That's why the current state of collegiate education is so fucked up.

Link me that online license so I can tell you whether or not it's worth anything.

>>
>>1020920

We don't have anything like that in Florida, but if it's on the state site, it's probably legit. Every state is different in how they regulate their contractors.

Call one of the schools on this list: https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/AMPS/ShowApprenticePrograms.aspx

and see if they can hook you up with an employer. Ask about cost of the program, length of the program, and rate of successful Journeyman tests passed by graduates.

House worth 110k.

Wanna start generating some money with what I have, so I am looking at things like stocks and the like. The ones I own are domestic and worth pretty much nothing. Just three years ago they were at 10k+ and due to the recession (from which this shithole of a country never recovered) they devalued a bunch. They're PSI20 stocks btw.

I would like to start a business as well. I have all this money and a monthly income of 600-700€, which I get as long as I am a student. So I could go flip burgers and net (assuming I would be making 500 a month) 1200€.

Thing is.. My country is in shambles and I am really unsure of whether or not it would be a good idea to start a business (of any kind). My city is small but AFAIK, most of the demand for niche items and the like is satisfied.
