Witcher 3 really upped the anti when it comes to open world RPG's.

- It's story was, for the most part, good. Great in some area's, weak in others.
- It's DLC was basically a full game.
- The graphics were off the chart.
- Bugs were minimal. Nothing really game breaking.
- The side quests were overall interesting.
- Gwent.

The only thing that could have been better was the combat.

Fallout 4 is by no means a bad game, but when you make a game like Skyrim, a game that is arguably in contention for the best RPG of all time - even the best game of all time according to some, you can't do what the did with fallout.
The whole time during development all I heard was high praise and critical acclaim to their innovation... sad thing is, fallout 4 was no innovation.

Problems with fallout 4:
Poor user-driven game experience
Amazing world devoid of content
Lack of originality (same monsters)
RNG everywhere, limited user Interference
Poor menu and crafting optimization.
Lots of houses with entrances
Boring core game exploration.
Typical Bethesda DLC whoring

Now, to the benefit of fallout 4:
Amazing assets
Brilliant design
Near-perfect atmosphere
Several interesting side missions.


Overall the game is a 6/10 at best, good enough to make me satisfied to scratch my fallout itch - but overall boring and unmemorable.

Also the quests were great, I loved going to a cave to kill a bear. Then a bandit leader. Then a whatever. All in the same cave.

The dialogue system destroyed this game. The whole reason Bethesda games have such longevity is that you can create whatever character with whatever backstory you want. By railroading players into one story, the replayability factor goes to 0. I'd understand the dialogue choice if the story was actually good, but it isn't.

Fallout 4 is like the epitome Bethesda game experience, exactly the same as they have been since Oblivion.

Story is bland and unimpressive, the world feels so fucking empty despite being fairly full of... boring points of interest. The engine is still pretty much the same as it was in Skyrim. It's fucking old. It's still okay, but limited in the scripting department and requires modification to actually shine.

It's like they release a halfway done game and expect the enormous modding community to make it whole.

CDPR at least had a very engaging story for W3, and a gorgeous engine to build the world with.

The mod itself is a sequel to mod.
This german mod team is modding since 2003 and is known for deeper character progressing and much more interesting stories and quests than TES titles.

I was extremely disappointed with Fallout 4, and I am as casual as they come. Even played it on a console.

Skyrim was good, Oblivion was better, New Vegas was fantastic.

I loved Witcher 3, great storyline, great atmosphere, and really good graphics. Don't really care about combat but it wasn't that bad. Frustrating at times but not bad.

Fallout 4 was rubbish, I gave up after about 8 hours. Couldn't get into it at all, total waste of money.
