I honestly figured out that movie in the first 5 minutes. The way the armed guards looked at DiCaprio as he stepped onto the island seemed a little off to me.

I spent the rest of the movie watching how people treated him, and by twist at the end, I knew it was coming.

Still a good movie, though.

It's hard to describe 'the perfect movie'. But for me, it all comes down to how 'quickly' the movie felt from start to finish.
Did it drag on and on? Did you second guess "When will this end"?
That to me personally is what makes a good movie.
Now as for acting and shit, well the movies I listed have amazing acting and they took their plots, story to a whole new level, won't be matched.
It'll be pretty damn hard to match Gladiators classic "Spartacus story line"

An awesome film is full of flaws. take Armageddon, for instance. Awesome movie. Its a blast to watch. its funny, great action, etc. But its not anywhere close to perfect - its full of flaws and its impossibly stupid. Gladiator, on the other hand - there's not a single way the movie could have been better. it was just flat out incredible execution of a concept.
