They're very different games though with different gameplay focuses. Where Minecraft focuses on player creation and letting the player create their own fun, whereas Terraria is more hands on, providing shit-tons of bosses and rare items. I don't think it's really fair to compare them.

Shit like this makes me want to play Terraria again. Then I realize how long I would have to play through the shitty side of the game before I'd be anywhere close to having the materials to make something like that. Early game Terraria is good and late game is alright but they got themselves lost in the mid game and just kinda left it nonexistent.
I just recently bought Terraria, but I've only played it for about 20 mins. Couldn't really get into, but to be fair I haven't given it a fair chance yet.

I might give the new one a go apparently they've learned their lesson from Gates to Infuckery, from what I've seen their is some nostalgia for returning players, such as bringing back the quiz to select your pokémon (literally thought I was destined to be a bulbasaur as a child).
It could be fun getting them all again, what would seal the deal for me would probably be if they brought back friend zones and oriented a plot around post game legendaries rather then the old "huh super powerful pokemon, go fuck it up so we can sleep soundly" we we're accustomed to.
MD is literally my childhood and I'll always care about it, even if it doesn't care back for oldies like us.

It may be just me, but I found GtI a big letdown when compared to previous titles, more specifically, what the post game offers, sure there were some cool things like battling shiny legendaries but overall it was a big letdown compared to what I was offered st the end of other games, such as the opportunity to recruit a wide variety of legendaries
