Need some help, I'm 18 now and have had back problems since I was 13 ever since then I've stayed inside and haven't really gone out much and because of that I developed a severe social anxiety now I game a lot but don't even own a mic because I'm basically a mute and haven't actually spoken to anyone outside of my immediate family, just my dad and sister. Not only that but I'm depressed. What are the chances I could get disability SSD I've heard of people getting it with less problems but they're usually older have have worked for a couple years.

Lift with your legs, not your back.

I hurt my back from running outside while at was raining and falling onto one of those concrete parking spot things that shouldn't have been where it was. I've heard from numerous sources that I could've easily sued but I was young and stupid so I didn't.>>694264401
>>
I was in your position a few years ago, I had a few years break and it fucked me up, I could barely manage conversation. It sounds stupid but I started playing online co-op games with a mic. Overwatch especially is fantastic at this since you all work together and there's no penalty for being shit at small talk- if it doesn't work out then just wait for the next group. Having a place to "test" conversation and stuff without there being any risk or consequence really helped. I'm still awkward as fuck but I'm a lot better than I was.

It's hard at first but just keep at it. Just remember that nobody can do anything to you and if you make a fool of yourself you never have to talk to them/see them again. If it gets too bad you can leave a game early, but stick with it and it'll get easier.
>>
>>694264678
>running outside in the rain
>falls onto a stationary object
>thinks it's someone else's fault

I mean I know it's only natural for people to blame others for the problems in their lives. But come on now... You slipped and fell like a retard. You didn't try to sue because you would have lost and owed laywer fees on top of your medical bills.
>>
>>694264173
Do you come from a family of lazy fucks that are on SSI, too? Wah my back hurts. Wah I'm depressed. Depending on where you are you probably would get it. Not working so you're probably already getting welfare medical and food stamps. You might need a lawyer to get SSI and you might not get it on the first try. That's the major industry in most U.S. cities and towns - lining up at the public trough.
>>
You'd be better off going to the SSA website and looking up the requirements than asking /b/
>>
>>694265951
I'd love to hear you when you can walk straight. Fucking idiot.
>>
>>694264173
work on your posture, dont over stretch your back to where your lower back is arched but just sit up straight and bring your shoulders back a little, good posture can physically put you in a better mind set for dealing with social anxiety
>>
>>694265502
I'll try man, but have no money for a mic right now.
>>694265689
Heard from multiple lawyers all of them said I could've won, the concrete thing was on my yard, private property, somewhere it should not have been.

Guys I just want to know what my chances are of getting SSD my dad and sister plus other people have told me I could get it. I already know I'm eligible for food stamps but that's easy to get. I just want to had some form of income so I want be so much of a burden on my family.

>>694266228
Being young your chances are low. You have to have a debilitating condition per SSA rules. And you have to be unable to perform other work. What is you condition?

When it comes to income, it honestly depends on what job you're looking at. It sounds like you're having a hard time with social interaction. My suggestion would be becoming a bagger at your local food store. You don't need to talk often. "A hello, how are you would suffice." being in a work place like that really opens you up to the public and can help you with your social anxiety.
>>
>>694266755
Do you have a diagnosis?
>>
>>694266845
You'd also make more money being bagger than being on SSA disability.
>>
>>694266228
Yes, because lawyers would never dream of overestimating your chances of winning just so you'll start a case. I mean it's not like they get paid regardless of whether they win or lose.
Just so you know though, you are a social parasite. You do not deserve free money. Get the fuck over yourself. I had horrible social anxiety growing up and I was forced to deal with it. It's going to suck and you're not going to want to do it, but if you don't you might as well kill yourself because you're basically just a worthless sack of shit that can't face his own problems.

Sounds like you just have had back pain and haven't been to the doctor about it. I go to a pain management clinic and have consulted a neurosurgeon. I have 5 protruding discs, and 3 bulging discs, facet joint arthrosis, spondylolisis. I can tell from your posts you haven't had jack done for your back yet.
>>
Get a job that you can handle. You dont deserve disability for being on your ass all day. Go get a fucking pencil pushing job you lazy fuck. Go out and talk to people at your new job. Problems solved.

If this person can't afford a lawyer and gets a public one then they get paid no matter the outcome.

Yeah that was kinda my point. The lawyer always gets paid either way, so they don't really have anything to lose by telling people they can win.

Ever have pain radiate to your arms or legs? You need to tell what your condition is. As of now it sounds like muscle aches with a complication of being a bitch.

Trust me. Interviews are stressful. I was freaked when I had mine, but learning to talk with adults/people alike can improve your position. If anything, be upfront about your problem, but make sure to the employer that you want to work.

Do you have friends that work? If so, maybe you could be a recommendation from them. It would help you ease into a job if you had a friend there to help you.

>>

I deal with debilitating spinal disorders. You might want to listen. I have the info you need.
>>
>>694264678
Well they lied to you, because you would of had a very weak case. You can get ssi for anxiety but you should feel shitty for thinking about it
>>
>>694268645
Just some pediatrician last year, he told my dad I should seek a specialist.
>>
You know, since you have depression and anxiety it's possible they are causing your back pain. Until you tell me you've had xrays, CT, MRI and diagnosis using injections, I think you're conflating your condition.
>>
>>694268887
You are a long way from SSA disability then. Why haven't you seen a specialist? What are your symptoms?
>>
>>694268935
What do you mean?
>>
>>694268887
What parts hurt? When doing what? Lumbar pain? In flexioin? Extension? Local to back? Tenderness? Radiates to leg? What path in leg? Is it pain or tinlging/pins & needles, burning, numbness? Can you point your toes upward? What weight can you lift? Have you ever had trauma?
>>
>>694269034
Depression and anxiety can cause pain. Also, pain can cause depression and anxiety. What i'm getting at is you need to determine whether this is a psychological issue (pain from mental health disorders) or a physical maladity (which can cause anxiety and depression over time).
>>
>>694269034
FYI I'm doing everything I can to avoid multi level spinal fusion surgery. I have some serious spinal disorders. I can help you determine if you have a pathological issue or whether you have a mental health issue or both.
>>
>>694269020
Specialist cost money, money I don't have, plus I only went to that doctor because I was talked into it when I was high on pain killers when I accidentally did too many, I don't like abusing drugs and that probably won't happen again, but without being high or something I don't see how I'm going to talk to a doctor.
>>
>>694269440
Dude you aren't in the pain I'm in then.
>>
>>694269440
And stop with the opiates! They don't do shit. Long term efficacy is junk for them. You really should stretch, watch you posture, your sleeping position, change your pillow or matress, exercise, and if you need pain management you should use cannabis.
>>
>>694269440
Also, you should meditate. That will help with pain, depression, and anxiety. 10 minutes a day is all you need.
>>
>>694269286
I'm assuming the pain caused the depression and anxiety as the injury made me bed ridden and indoors for a long while, causing anxiety which lead to depression.
>>
>>694269440
You may very well have an issue. But from what you tell me it's either muscle strains or spasms, or it's pain cause by your mental health state. Good news is you can make improvements.
>>
>>694269811
What injury? What kind? How long ago? Ever receive treatment?

Back pain from around L2 to T9, if I move my head too fast on certain occasions the pain shoots up to around C4.
>>694270096
Mostly lower back to just above tailbone. Not sure how to describe it, it's just a constant pain, sometimes it's kind of like a pulsing sensation
>>
>>694270531
If you are injured you should not feel pain when exercising. That was incorrect workout practice. You need a PT recommended program that has low impact workouts to strengthen the core and surrounding tissues without further inflamming them. Please, please get professional help. Doing incorrect exercises can further injure your back.

>>
>>694271034
Ok so seems like 3 general areas to me (remember I'm a patient with experience, not a doctor so please go to a professional)

1) C4 is it's own issue unrelated to the lower back. That pain at C4 is due to entrapping the nerve root at C3-C4 joint, or due to the facet joints, or both. Is it only in the spine area, or where is the pain felt? Arms? Front of neck? Hands?

2)L2 to T9 is more likely muscle pain from spams and strainging of the long muscles running parallel to the spine. This is likely due to posture issues, also from corrective movements/gestures to compensate for your other pains.Thoracic issues are rare. Stretch, watch your posture. Rest and move, moderation of each.

3) Above tail bone you are feeling to very common L4-L5, L5-S1 inflammation and nerve irritation. Common, typically more so in older adults, but i had pain there in my late teens so you are crazy. That are is my nemesis. Pain in low back, butt, leg, foot. Can be disc, facet joint, cyst. Again please go see a professional. If you have legit spinal disorders they can eventually leave you paralysed. But you can manage them now, especially being so young.

You don't want SSD. As far as I know, it pays out absolute shit. Like the bare minimum to survive.

Strengthen your core muscles. It will compensate for back problems. I broke my back in four places and have no pain from it. Whereas I know pansy faggots who get weekly cortisol injections because they can't cope with life. Maybe when I'm 50 I'll no longer be able to strengthen my core to overcome my back problems, but that's 20+ years away.

It's not a death sentence.

Not OP - agreeing with you. I fell two stories and now I've got a rebuilt right leg and am missing two discs in my back. Arthritis throughout my spine/hips/etc and essentially no cartilage left. Been working my desk job in pain every day of the 11 years since that accident (other than the three or four periods where I was hospitalized and going through surgeries for a few days/weeks).

OP is a piece of shit, plain and simple. Wants someone else to cover their ride in life because they think they know what pain is.
