Android phones are only good when you unlock the bootloader and flash custom ROMs. I use a Nexus 6P running CM 13 with TWRP recovery.
iOS devices are only good if you can exploit the bootrom. Exploiting the bootrom allows you to mount the system partition as read/write from the iBoot (low level jailbreak). Because you can control the DFU instructions by writing over the copied data, you can also control functions like RestoreRamdisk to decide what gets flashed over usb. This is useful for downgrades.

Well hold on a second, as I find myself an average to slightly experienced consumer in the electronics field I can advise anyone in my skill set my personal likes and dislikes of the Linux brand, as I have had run ins with it for about two or three years. I have two devices running openSUSE and KDE 14.04 and I can say that both of them are nice and I like the functionality and the amount of built in drivers but I much prefer to use my MacBook simply because I never have had to do much troubleshooting with it. I also added that I liked the display of the openSUSE plasma 6 desktop but I wish it was stable as my KDE 14.04 LTS which takes less tinkering to work. Then I realize that I don't like troubleshooting and so chose the os with the least tinkering involved, the the added plus of osx looking semi respectable. Notice how I didn't mention windows 7 or 10, of which I have my 7 loaded pc dual booting a server 2008 with it, nor did I mention the iPhone I used to have, the windows phone I'm currently using and the android tablet I use for drawing. I've used a fair bit of software and I think I have my right to an educated opinion based on how often I've used these oses casually and which os would suit a consumer similar to myself.
