A lot of good advice here, a lot of shit advice. OP, as you live your life, you'll start to realize what triggers them for you. Triggers vary, but usually include stress, lack of sleep, and food choices. Stuff that could cut the inside of your mouth, or dry it out (sunflower seeds will trigger me every time). As far as treatment, I've heard peroxide or salt water, but my favorite treatment is vitamin E. If you buy the vitamin, you can bite the fucker open and rub the gooey shit over the sore. Easier approach: just eat some raisins. Yes, raisins. Just make sure you hold them on the sore for a bit.
