ADHD revolves around a deficit in dopamine levels, dopamine; as well as maintaining other other physiological functions, helps to maintain alertness. It is a very real illness but is over diagnosed. An interesting fact is that the medication that they give to patients with ADHD is essentially methamphetamine and it increases dopamine levels in the synapse, essentially the same end result as cocaine and every other addictive drug.

Also, depression and MDD may aswell be the same thing given that most doctors wont distinguish between the two.
