What I can say is that just like any other piece of clothing everyone has their own style they can pull off. If you have a nice toned body speedos look good on you. It would look good on some chubby guy. They would probably wear the board shorts. What I have noticed though is that more and more people are starting to wear European style swim wear. I wouldn't be surprised in the next 10 years board shorts will be the ones hardly used. Mostly all other countries use swim briefs also.
