ONG BAK
Saw this recently, very nice.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0241303/
>>693840591
I'm afraid to watch it. I like Spike but idk a love story with an AI? Is it actually good?
>>693840146
Yeah, Sicario was good.
The same director also did bunch of other good films, I'd recommend Prisoners.
watched now you see me yesterday, good movie i suppose
>>693840860
I went into the movie wanting to hate it and was completely blown away. I thought the story was good, but more importantly, the movie is so objectively well-done and beautifully shot that the biggest complaint I can imagine someone reasonably giving was "I don't like it because it's not my kind of movie".
>>693841065
Now see that's what I'm talking about. It's been on my radar but haven't been compelled. Downloading now.
>>693841192
Oh snap yo, thanks breh. Another movie on the download queue.
Brazil is definitly in my top 10.
>>693840146
didn't like the ending though, sicario
>>693841468
oh YEAH sicario was fucking sick
great cinemaphotography and nice action
>>693840682
Over half of those films are complete garbage
>>693839612
I have recently seen:
10 Cloverfield Lane
The Skeleton Key
The Road
Must see movies if you haven't already:
Interstellar
Leon: The Professional
Se7en
The Prestige
The Grand Budapest Hotel
The Hurt Locker
28 Days Later
No Country for Old Men
Inception
The Showshank Redemption
The Big Lebowski
Requiem for a Dream
These are some that I can think of at this moment.
Cinema Paradiso
Memories of a Murder
this.
The Usual Suspects
One of those "the ending makes you rethink the whole movie" movies.
>>693842203
Good taste anon
I'm not even being sarcastic, you actually have pretty good taste in movies
Personallynot a fan of Interstellar or Inception, but I can appreciate their value and wouldn't recommend against watching them
>>693840682
Roll
This.
>>693842203
interstellar and inception instead of 2001: space odyssey & shutter island is disappointing.
>>693842728
Seconded
>>693840880
I think that movie is really weird. All the time while watching i thought "this is a really good movie and brilliant actors" but i couldn't help but feel bored by it
Which one should I watch?
>>693843021
King of Texas
>>693842728
>>693842514
I really really loved Intersteller, even while some things were annoying me. The landing on the planet close to the black hole is totally impossible.
I should rewatch 2001 but it couldn't hold my attention when I watched it. Might have just been inattentive at that moment.
>>693840860
wheres the rest of this set i havent seen him shooting up yet just him with all the other limp dicked faggots and that one chick
>>693843021
AHX
predestination is a good watch
>>693843021
Lost in Translation, Dr Strangelove, American Psycho, Spirited Away or The Lives of Others. Can't go wrong with any of them.
>>693843161
>>693840682
roooooooo
>>693843325
ty anon i still havent gotten the story i mean i know they're shooting up and being naked on b but why they didnt fuck the bitch from what ive seen so do they just shoot up and get naked?
>>693843626
That film sucked the only sellingpoint was that it had porno-actress and real sex scenes, but the story and the acting was lousy as fuck.
2/10 would not recomend
>>693842190
Way over half
Some of my personal favorites are:
Enter the Void
Watchmen (even though it didn't quite live up to the comic)
Samsara
Silence of the Lamb
The Millenium Trilogy
Old Boy (original Korean, and the rest of the Vengeance trilogy is also pretty good)
And my guilty pleasures include:
District 9
Constantine
Primer
There are a lot I can't think of off the top of my head
How shit is my taste anons?
My favourite film.
>>693843021
Casablanca.
>>693843021
Casablanca or Lost in Translation if your feeling chill enough
Otherwise go American History X is a must watch
>>693843902
Not bad my man!
Soggy bottom boys 4 lyfe
>>693839992
The hunt +1
>>693839612
here, I'll post my favorite films from each of my favorite directors.
>Memento
>Spirited Away
>Reservoir Dogs
>Full Metal Jacket
but really, most popular films by Tarantino, Kubrick, Nolan and Miyazaki are just plain gold. Even some of the obscurer stuff.
in the anime department ;
the girl who leapt through time
princess mononoke
memories (really magnetic rose, other 2 are optional)
akira
wolf children
redline
secret world of arrietty
ghost in the shell (og, 2.0 is terribad)
jin roh
laputa / castle in the sky
and recently i enjoyed boy and the beast. touching.
>>693840860
Holyshit it's the roommate ginger
>ctrl+f
>no naked lunch
I am dissapoint
>>693843886
Yeah I just looked up the films I hadn't heard of before and it would certainly seem to be more a list of shitty films rather than mindblow films
>>693844212
I can confirm that Akira, Mononoke and Redline are fucking amazing. especially if you're into really really good traditional animation.
>>693844128
>Memento
I don't know if I'm retarded or what, but I did not get anything while watching that movie.
>>693844305
Ugh, that film is an injustice to Billy Burroughs. It turns acerbic satire into 'just another spoony mooovie'
>>693844212
The Girl who leapt through time was overhyped, but the rest of your list is righteou9
>>693844128
I bet you're one real pretentious faggot
Can anyone tell me if Drive is a good film an if the IT crowd is any good?
>>693844363
you're probably just retarded.
jk it's probably just not your kind of film. Nolan loves to jerk off that neo-noir style and it just doesn't click for a lot of people. doesn't help that it's kind of a confusing movie. it's one of my favorite films, though.
>>693843325
What is going on here?
>>693844585
1) mediocre 2) mediocre
>>693843325
Wow Alexis Bledel sure has gone to shit
>>693844578
whatever brubbo, they're great films. #faggotpride
>>693844569
i suppose. maybe not /mustwatch/ but definitely good.
Some soviet film?
>>693843698
Getting hard on opiates is difficult as fuck.
>>693844363
It has a fairly simple plot actually, just reorder the events in the movie, watch it backwords, if you get what I mean
Ghost dog
Pusher Trilogy
Everything from Kubrick
Not a must watch, but still interesting:
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl
>>693843021
10/10 torrenting right der
good taste /b/ro
400 blows is pure kino
awesome coming of age flick
>>693844837
Battleship Potemkin Cyka
>>693844585
Drive is really atmospheric and really cool from a direction standpoint, and the main character is interesting, but both of the lead actors in it do a really boring job. there are a couple of really cool scenes, though, and it's got Brian Cranston in it. I'd say it's worth the watch but not a masterpiece.
>>693843887
Your taste buds must be in your anus
>>693844862
makes sense but i still wonder why they got naked to begin with other then being b tards and thought it was hilarious or some shit its been fucking with me since i saw the image a long time ago prolly just my autism though
Before Sunrise
>>693844871
>>693844604
I'll probably watch it again tomorrow.
>>693839612
movies are haram
>>693843887
Enter was almost too intense for me, cool as fuck movie though.
Silence of the Lambs is fucked up and has great acting but I never liked it that much
I genuinely liked Primer if anything just for that mothafuckin a e s t h e t i c
>>693845252
>>693842203
>The Prestige
Amazing
>>693845252
Spot the brit.
>>693844812
Actually the films you posted *are* fantastic, but now I'm about to break your heart:
>A Clockwork Orange
>2001: A Space Odyssey
Overrated garbage. Clockwork lacked the aesthetics but had the plot. 2001 had the aesthetics but lacked the plot. Two terrible films.
I'm sure you loved those films.
>>693844212
I was not a big fan of Arrietty's story, but the setting and animation were top notch.
>>693844837
>>693845252
No?
Where the fuck did you get that from
There's no fatwa on storytelling or videorecording you retard
>>693839612
None of them. You are a man who chooses his own fate. The movie does not choose the man. Live free, OP, live free.
>>693843698

I'd say your best bet if you like LGBT movies would be Hass Avacado: The Return or for action you could go Slingers or Sling Dingers 2: Slingers on Patrol.
>>693845520
The fat guy has micro penis
>>693845294
Yeah the main reason I liked SotL was for the Incredible acting and it had decent cinematography imo, but the plot was kinda shit
It sounds like you haven't watched Enter the Void high yet
That's what the movie was made for, it's a fantastic and sometimes terrifying experience
>>693845705
Ok, you got me there.
>>693845638
Fuck off, my ex made me watch that and it's literal shit.
>>693845374
I've actually never seen Clockwork Orange, but I do really dig 2001, partially because Kubrick didn't just drown the whole thing in dialogue. It's an impressionist movie and I really dig that, and if you automatically trash any film that doesn't have a very nuanced plot then you're gonna miss out on some great stuff, sorry brubbo.
>>693845622
I took the obvious bait. Shit
>nice dubs though
no u
this one is important cause after benini heard about it he made life is beautiful just to prove he was greater that jerry

You lucky motherfucker. I wish I could erase A Clockwork Orange from my brain and experience it for the first time again.

I like movies like this and A Clockwork Orange.
>>693845750
nah hes just american, they all have tiny dicks and are mostly cuckolds.
>>693845870
I actually haven't watched Enter the Void sober yet. that's why it was so intense for me.
I genuinely loved the bad trip sequence, too.
I like The Thomas Crown Affair
apted helped with the first one and made the rest

My friend told me to watch the ring because it's scary. Wasn't fucking scary at all
>>693842962
>this
>>693846164
Yup. That's what the movie is about. just a one-watch film.
Drive is a really good film, also Moon.
>>693846267
Oh, haha. It's a good movie sober too, but I tried watching it on DXM once. Fucking sucked
>>693846393

There's no music. Purposefully, but if you didn't consciously notice, that's probably what is causing it to feel awkward.
>>693842271
This movie made me realize she was actually a good actress
Outstandingly disturbing movie too
>>693842440
Why me? I'm stupid I'm a cripple
