I went into the movie wanting to hate it and was completely blown away. I thought the story was good, but more importantly, the movie is so objectively well-done and beautifully shot that the biggest complaint I can imagine someone reasonably giving was "I don't like it because it's not my kind of movie".

I've actually never seen Clockwork Orange, but I do really dig 2001, partially because Kubrick didn't just drown the whole thing in dialogue. It's an impressionist movie and I really dig that, and if you automatically trash any film that doesn't have a very nuanced plot then you're gonna miss out on some great stuff, sorry brubbo.
