Shemale is a term used solely in the porn business, in general referring only to trans pornstars. You could refer to any mtf as shemale but it'd be in very bad taste.
A trap has different meanings depending on who you ask, but the term comes from someone who "traps" a straight guy into making out with them because they think it's a girl. When I think of trap I think of a very feminine boy who hasn't undergone surgeries, but I know that others will disagree with this definition.
