They won't search you, just be mindful of undercover cops sniffing around. Sometimes there are facebook groups ratting out the cops, describing their clothes etc.. See if your festival has that, and keep an eye on it.

The chances of getting caught are very slim, but not nonexistant.

Ok anon, I'll tell you what has worked for me for a long time now. Only optional ass play involved:

Go to your local office supply store, and look for the big, thick sharpie HIGHLIGHTERS that are about the same size as dry-erase board markers (for reference).

Take your package of sharpies home, and bust out some needle-nose pliers (or buy some if you don't have any). Remove the butt-end of the sharpie--it should be a white cap that is lightly glued inside the tube of the marker. Take out and throw away the thing inside the marker. Now you have a hollow marker that won't write for long, but enough to pass security screen. I would suggest wadding up a small bit of paper towel or toilet paper, because the marker tip usually has enough ink in it to seep into whatever rests against it inside, and a bit of wadding will protect whatever you put into it.

After you fill it with whatever you're bringing in, make sure you put that white butt-cap back on the marker to close it up, but don't jam it in too tight or you'll have a hard time getting it off without your pliers.

Once inside the venue, use your finger or a house key to pop the white butt-cap off, and you're in business.

It's been a while since I built my sharpie smugglers, but I've brought joints and blunts into several venues (including MSG) with this method.

Also keep in mind that some sharpies are made of semi-clear colored plastic. If you can see the stuff you put into the sharpie when you hold it up to a light, you might need cut a piece of white paper that you can roll up to fit just inside the tube, which should make it opaque enough to hide whatever you put in it, even if someone checks it.

Remember to drink water with your MDMA so you don't die, and to have a good time.
