Now, having known a few people who do have this mentality, I have found that the few folks I know who feel this way don't want to make a big deal out of it, since it's their desire to feel NORMAL not receive special treatment, but I don't speak on their behalf, I'm merely noting an observation.
There are methods for treating the imbalance, and hormone therapy has been extremely effective in helping those who have been profiled as genuinely suffering from the condition feel more comfortable with themselves. Problem is those who do suffer from the condition are not often the ones complaining the loudest, it's the ones who want to change genders every other day (which is an attention seeking complex stemming from something similar to narcissism) that complain about the whole "no my body IS a girls body even w/ a peenus #LoveTheBody" that keep making those with legitimate conditions seem less credible.
