I've been on Zoloft for a few years and when I first was on it (150 - 200mg), I had that exact same problem. Since then I've dropped down to 100mg and don't have that issue anymore. Whether that is due to the lower dosage or just becoming better acclimated to the medicine; I couldn't say. You can always ask your doctor.

Yup. Ridiculously common. Your body might figure out how to manage it after a while and be able to orgasm pretty consistently -- it's a combination of physical and mental adaptation. A different antidepressant may have a lesser effect, but if you have this side effect from one, you'll have it from all, and this is an easy SSRI side effect to manage (and like you said, it has benefits).

What profession are you in, exactly? Because unless it's clinical psych or medicine or something where you see people who are before-and-after meds all the time, you have no fucking clue what you're talking about.

If you're lucky enough that an SSRI works on you, then use it. If it works and you don't have a severe condition you'll probably find yourself able to go off it at some point, but meanwhile it's like the most benign drug out there.

Slight mania. Be careful. If you have any kind of emotional cycling, like bipolar disorder, this drug might increase your mania symptoms. Without a mood stabilizer, it can be dangerous. It's a start anon. I've noticed that working out consistently really helps with my mood. I'm not on any drugs but at some point I thought I was depressed and lacked drive etc particularly while I was in grad school.
When I got really serious about fitness I had to stop hanging out with some of my friends who just wanted to drink all the time, you may have to do the same.
Maybe you should join a group fitness class, crossfit or something similar. Maybe martial arts, jujitsu, etc you'll get to meet people that are trying to better themselves too.
Also give yourself short term goals or things to look forward to, it really does work at keeping you going. For example I look forward to mini vacations I have planned throughout the year.
