But what makes the "scripture" any more credible than science? Man lies of course, he has since the beginning of man and always will. At least science consists of multiple people taking data and analyzing it, then taking the data again, and rinse and repeat unless they are fairly certain something is not only correlation but mostly causation. The scripture is just an old book that people believe the stories about.

Believe me, when this society falls due to war or self destruction, this current God will fail too. I'm sure all the ancients believed their gods couldn't fail, yet here we are.

I think religious groups' properties should be taxed, just as much as a gentleman's club should be taxed- it's not a fuckin non-profit if mostly helps members enjoy pretty glass windows, fancy organ music, fucking incense, and Secret Glory Hole Boxes where you actually talk to the recipient, and give a percentage to a wealthy foreign government agency/religion like The Vatican/Catholic Church.

I think most people who misunderstand atheists as all being liberals are kind of stupid, but more likely just uninformed and might actually be pretty smart, or not- depending on the individual.

Nothing is as simple as it looks.
Religion offers TOO simple an answer to some pretty complex questions.
