Touch is a powerful communication tool; since I spent so much of my life as an athlete, motion and touch is a huge part of the way I interact with people, and a major portion of the data I pick up. Sex is severely personal to me, so I intend to pick my women carefully. I know I'll be in love with them when I'm done, so I want to be in love with people who respect me and my choices. The lack of monogamy is one way of testing that. It's also true that I really don't give a fuck how many people they sleep with, so it shouldn't affect them how many I sleep with, and this up-front agreement is the best way to ensure that's the case.

And no, I don't expect other people to abide by my way of life; you pick what's right for you and stick to it, but make sure you know exactly what's up and make sure mutual respect is the real motivator of your relationship.
