>no doom metal in this thread
>>691381636
Thoughts on the new Blink stuff? I like No Future but the lyrics are missing something. I think that's what Tom was really great at was the lyrics. Bored to Death is alright but it didn't really wow me. I'll get used to Skiba in time but I have to hear more to fully gauge an opinion.
>>691382154
>doom
>listening to graveyard n shit

I only picked Memento Mori because it gives me goosebumps, and while I concede it's a long song I don't think this thread will live for that entire album you posted.

>>691392153
The first one is the entire album so I'm not sure what you're referring to
But the second is something I'm down with, if not a little boring.
Tbh it depends on the pitch. I have a hard time getting past the initial part of This is War by 30 Seconds to Mars even though I like the song

Toska - Ode To The Author
>>691379910
Get real this is not his best album nor god tier
>>691394067
I really dig the current of their music, it does seem like the vocals are a little overpowered by the instrumental though.
For some reason I've been really into 36 Crazyfists lately, I feel like they have a good combo
Holy shit so many metalfags.
How the fuck can you listen to that shit? Literally 99% of metal songs sound like a group of either retards or monkeys playing random notes and making loud noises.
Blows my mind that people enjoy this shit. But I guess it's better than listening to pop or alternative rock.
>>691394266
Fuk yeah
They played it at a show with honey last year
>>691381733
Omfg yes
>>691394880
I like turtles
>>691394966
*honkey
The band
>>691394880
A lot of it for me is a little mathcore and the lyrics.
"Sorry son but we destroyed your home, we murdered your family, now you're on your own. Collateral damage face down in the sand, watch the dominoes fall, it's all just part of the plan."
Chills every time.
Lyrics and vocals do a lot for me, and metal tends to fufill that.
>>691394718
>36 Crazyfists
is that hardcore or screamo?
sorry but that just reminds me of Job for a cowboy
.
any song in particular i should be aware of?
here is metal i like
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33oRMB0cCyc
>>691384057
gods work, i was hoping to see some nujabes in here
>>691395252
As do I
>>691379940
This guy
>>691394880
>random noises
oh boy are you gonna lose your shit once you discover jazz or noise
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2I5-gTuqfFc
>>691382834
(Not the other guy) Panic! did a similar thing. They used to make REALLY good pop, but after a while (see: their new album) it became way you generic.
>>691394880
>implying pop isn't the best genre
>>691396330
kanye its WAY past your bedtime
>>691395679
I'm it really sure, I have a hard time recognizing genre my sound.
But my favorite song by them is Kenai
Also if you dig sharper vocals Every Last Breath by Architects is nice,
Again I really enjoy the instrumental of what you posted, just not the vocals so much. Very nice though
Erik Satie gymnopedies are pretty good
>>691380752
Part two was better
>>691396934
ill check it out now.
here if you like lyrics n shit
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTwLiwygXZk
>>691383829
this
>>691397910
Got a vid with the lyrics? I'm a little hard at hearing, my apologies
>>691397591
I think so too. Anxiety is probably my 2nd favorite song by them.
>>691398354
the video description
kenai reminds me kinda of Gojira
the other song "every last breath" has a very prog rock feel to it
