Travelling will not be made harder. I travel a lot, for business, this is a myth. All that changes is you have to get VISA's (online in 5 mins) prior to travelling. I just came back from Turkey for example. It also means that there will be no free movement from other EU citizens (so no economic migrants can just stroll into our country.)

America, like the UK, is built on immigration. To point out the cultural mix in the UK as a bad thing makes you very stoopid considering your own cultural mix.
