I got released, and am awaiting a court date.
I'm innocent, but I think I should get a lawyer anyway.

And more hypothetically,
if I moved, and am awaiting a court date in the mail, and I changed my address after a few weeks of moving, and got my court date at the old address, but haven't been there since, and it's been at least 2 months, would they send me a court date to my new address, or notify me that I missed a court date?
They said since I was released, speedy trial won't apply, but could it take more than multiple months to send me a date?

Lawyer office janitor here, if you move and they can't get in touch with you than there's nothing they can do. They have to physically serve you with court paperwork. If they can't serve you then you do not need to appear in court and can ignore the court dates.
