How is it silly? Because she is still a valuable character. In the wrong hands she is an idiot, but in the rights hands she is powerful. Each character is like this. Sure mei is one of the characters that can affect her teammates negatively, but if you have a bad support person it is the same.

I main Mei and I get a shit ton of hate at round start. Then 3 minutes into the round my team realises I am value with Mei. And not one of those Mei players that place walls infront of their teammates. Today I had a 29 player killstreak with Mei.
