They both have their good and bad sides. Going from drinking everyday to smoking everyday, I feel better smoking albeit a bit slower. Not having hangovers or throwing up all the time is nice. Weed will fuck your wallet harder though, unless you're the type to spend hundreds every weekend.

From a society point of view I would prefer to see alcohol banned and pot made legal

Alcohol for me. I like weed too, but I almost always find myself at parties/situations where alcohol fits better.

With alcohol I can go from raving to chill to fucking zoned out in one night. With weed, I'm either chill, practically brain dead or asleep. Let's not forget that you can pop a champagne or open a good bottle of wine to celebrate/chill basically wherever, whenever, with whoever, but you can't exactly just light one up. More people drink than smoke, and using either of these substances is a social thing for me. Alcohol is more versatile, at least in my experience.

Btw I don't think you can judge them by price. I drink good shit but smoke average weed. I have friends who drink whatever they can put their hands on but smoke quality weed. In the end, you can spend just as much on alcohol as you can on weed. If you're just looking to get fucked up, alcohol all the way, but then the plastic bottled wine and vodka will induce a hangover that will make you consider suicide.

I prefer alcohol, which is probably more harmful, yet i dont see how alcohol affected me in any way, but i see how weed affected my friends. i'm an alcoholic. I'm 20 days sober this time. During binges I have wrecked my life and others numerous times. It doesn't happen everytime I drink but across a long enough timeline bad things happen. When i just smoke pot I'm chill, I feel much better, and I don't hurt myself or anyone else.

Personally, i prefer weed, since i am not really the going out type. I enjoy hanging out at bars with friends, but i just dont like the whole disco scene, where the drugs of choice are clearly strong alc and uppers like mdma.

I guess i can see why some people hate stoner parties, they simply don't compare to "regular" parties where people dance&drink. It's really more about simply chilling out, enjoying the moment, but that doesn't mean it's boring. If you're not the type to smoke pot and enjoy sitting on a cliff with a nice view, a couple friends and relaxed conversations then these parties are not for you.

whereas with alcohol, you have to constantly fuel yourself with booze to maintain the feeling, pee alot more frequently and have the troubles of finishing your drinks in order to have a good feeling
in saying that, i tend to be more social and confident which isn't quite the case on weed

both are good depending on the situation

however in social situations i'd prefer to do ectasy over alcohol just bc cheaper and alot easier

so either weed or ectasy for the 2 extremes

Alcohol feels better in social situations, when I'm high I feel like I just want to be alone and listen to some music. I prefer feeling drunk than high on weed

Alcohol has lead to much destruction, destruction of lives, families and violence. However, if it wasn't for alcohol pretty much none of us would be alive. Most of our parents met at a bar with the aide of alcohol

I'm not suggesting that, I'm just saying most of our parents met in a bar or in a situation where alcohol is involved. So us as individuals wouldn't exist.

I use both substances in reasonable amounts.

When I drink too much alcohol, I start feeling bad and might even puke.
The day after, alcohol makes me hungover for a few hours.

When I smoke too much weed, I sometimes start feeling a bit paranoid. It usually doesn't last more than 10 minutes, and afterwards I can enjoy the high. The day after, I sometimes feel a little more tired than usual but it's nowhere nere the hangover I get from alcohol.

I find alcohol better when I want to socialize. It's also decent for relaxing after a stressful day.
Weed is better when I want to have some fun with my friends. It makes me more adventurous, I sometimes take walks in the forest and just marvel at the beauty of nature.

I think alcohol is more dangerous than weed, but I don't see any problem with either if you don't use them too much.
