Chances are you will be dead before you wake up so there won't be any pain.
However if it's a nuke, you might survive the blast and slowly be burnt alive in the radiation after (that's how most actually die) but that's a relatively low chance.
Trust me, ain't much difference in dying by yourself or with someone. Death is a door, and only one person can go through at a time. Not only that, but if you have someone, that's one more person that you care for that's gonna get snuffed out of reality. Then you have the fear of living if they die, or them being emotionally crippled if you die. Or the most depressing thought. You die quickly, and they are left to die slowly and painfully all while looking at your corpse.

This is why I'm awake. I lay down and go in circles about losing consciousness and never getting it back. I'm that faggot that can't come to grips with the fact that at some point, I will stop being.
