While I was installing windows 10 the privacy questions it asked were beyond too much. and i normally don't give a shit about my privacy, but they were pretty fucking unnerving.

Privacy reasons aside, it's honestly not THAT bad of a system. though i still feel windows 8.1 was better, but as of now, this is the first system i've owned legally so i'm kinda stuck with it. (i pirated windows 8.1 but they still allowed me to update to windows 10 through the pirated 8.1).

(I mean, i've tried ubuntu before but linux is a joke)

Even now that the system run with less both loader, the amount of data the system share with MS in insane about 6 megabits every 10 minutes, from my experience. The volume varies if you use an program or the internet, they didn't remove the network logging feature, basically everything you see they may also see.

Most issues i.see here are all 3rd party driver issues. Windows 10 is a very smooth operating system. If your wireless card ia not working, its because of a bad driver. You cant run win10 on a old ass machine, it uses a lot of memory. 8gb is the min now for machines and you want a good cpu. On my recently upgraded PC it works fine.

On my 6-7 years old Notebook it works fine.

At work I had it on my 10+ year old PC, it had a few driver problems so I got a new PC but it worked fine except for a black screen for like 2 seconds here and there.

1. It's shit on dirt roads and can kill you if you have to stop fast on a dirt road. Locked brakes stop you fast on dirt, rolling wheels don't.

Windows 10 isn't inherently bad, it's a decent enough OS, once you turn the bot net stuff off. The real problem is the upgrade itself
It says it'll 'leave everything where it was' but in reality, it's probably gonna fuck your shit up. I put it on my second computer for shits n' giggles, and literally 75% of the programs I had installed stopped working, and half of the files I had were missing, or got shoved in random folders.
Never upgrade to windows 10, only do a 100% clean install.

They fuck up a lot of things they make and maintain. Skype is a good example of something that worked good for a short period and then has gotten more laggy and more buggy over the years, the UI might as well have been designed in the 90's. Same goes for most of their other services.

Windows 10 is just another name to add to the pile of garbage they produce. It got a lot worse reputation than the others because of the way they handled the upgrade from W7 and W8, with annoying pop-ups and forced downloads topped with a buggy upgrade process that could leave half the OS functions not working which forces you to do a complete fresh installation of it any way.

If you do everything in your power to create a functioning environment you can maybe at the best get a system that is 95% as stable as W7.

Windows 10 has hasn't given me any issues. It has no major advantages for me over Win7 other than the hybrid boot. There is a major issue with Borderlands 2 performance, though. I had to set up dual-boot with Win7 to prevent bizarre frame rate drops. (went to 35 fps in some areas at 640x480 on Very Low, Win7 runs the same area at max 1620p dsr)

I get the job done using mint in xfce. Ubuntu redhat and SUSE just too clunky for me. Puppy linux or dsl when its a low resource machine. Arch when i need to impress or make it look edgy, cause mint will get the exact same job done in my experience.

I had to delete Windows ten update. I have 7 and I think it is the best. They just polished XP. 7 should have been the last and final one. 8 is like a fucking iPad and 10 is no better.
