This is exactly why they want into your social media accounts. They want to know more about you than they legally are allowed, and that way they can make hiring decisions based on things like pregnancy, or religious and political views, gender identity, etc. Just SEEING this information is illegal due to the very nature of this information, and how employers can use this information to discriminate in a way that is difficult to prove in court.

This is also exactly why these hiring practices are slowly on their way out in the states, with states starting to adopt a ban against using social media in hiring practices.
