Yes my girlfrinds sister had a small farm and I had to take care of just two goats and it was enough for me to never want to be around them again. The males are mean and will headbutt the shit out of anything that it thinks might be moving and the females spend all day shrilly screeching. Yeah that's why I got it, saw one on Harry Potter and got super paranoid about them. Really bad fear of them, not spider just whip scorpions. A couple of months ago I saw one at the tarantula expo in England, it was a baby and it looked pretty cute so I got it, it's grown 4 times it size and it's horrible, it attacks everything and at night it deliberately chews bark to intimate me. I can't open the cage more then a few inches before it runs up the tank and bites. I have 12 different arachnids and insects and it's the only one I regret getting :(

Those fuckers managed to completely destroy the 1 m² of grass they´re on while leaving the other 9m² completely untouched. And they try to use the same nest so they end up with 2 or 3 chickens on a single nest and the other 2 nests next to that are empty. Retarded things.

Depending on the chicken, we got them from one of those factories which meant that they were incredibly ugly but laying a lot of eggs, other kinds might be different.
You need to give them crushed egg shells or some other source of whatever that is called in english, i think chalk, or the eggshells will be too thin and they´ll break.
Cheaper, maybe. Depending on how easily available the land is I think, only in the countryside.
