The anonymous nature of 4chan allows people to say things that would usually not be accepted IRL. This just makes the site a place where people get to vent their unpopular opinions and also lets trolls spout various forms of radical politics for shits and giggles. Since 4chan's demographic is primarily socially secluded males the site's opinion will always be anti-establishment which these days seems to be a type of conspiracy theory riddled right wing populism.

It's funny to me how one of he major undercurrents of the political debate in recent years is religion. In general terms connservatives are very supportive of Christianity and against islam, while leftists are very supportive of Islam and against Christianity. It strikes me as a resurgence/continuation of centuries old ideological warfare between the two religions.
