I think what makes you a furry is what you think of yourself, like I love the art and draw dome of it sometimes (not often) but I don't have a fursona and don't want to dress up and for the time being don't want to go to cons. I don't identify with the full fandom but eh I dunno, it's not a big enough part of me for me to think of myself as a furry.

That's why a Tulpa would be your best bet if you really want a Waifu. You don't have to be overly responsible for maintaining a Tulpa, you just have to interact with them in some way every day by either passive or active forcing. Plus, animating a tulpa would be easier than animating a 3D model because all you have to do is think about moving your tulpa and *poof* you're done.
