One day I just realised all of really need was food, power and an 4g connection. So I found a hidden spot 30 mins away from a supermarket on the outside of town, I brought a tent, a heat charger and am on a unlimited 4g Internet plan that is cheap enough to pay for with my savings for over 100 years.

there are dozens of ways to make a timestamp without a pen when you are in the woods

sticks broken and placed into letters/numbers to make a timestamp (im sure you have an abundance of sticks)
writing in the mud is really not that hard( i know this isnt the movies but i also know i used to draw pictures in the mud when i was a kid)
use a knife to carve the timestamp into your chest hell im sure a knife could be used to draw a line in the mud better than a stick too!
