All I really know is that if you're too lazy to really download some good penetration software (hacking software), just download Kali Linux, it's pretty great and helps if you're new to hacking.
For the most part you can figure out what the software does but if that's too hard there's also forums for it.

Also, make sure to research properly. Just because you have a VPN, doesn't mean you're automatically protected. Many things can leak your real IP.
Examples: your timezone clock is where you are from, but you VPN/Proxy is in Russia or something, that can be a red flag. Do not have flash enabled.
Along with:
DNS
IPv6
WebRTC
WebGL support
Third party cookies. Do NOT support them.
All of these things can leak your REAL IP address so do your research and be careful.
