OP you are just retarded, and I do hope that this is just a shit-tier b8 thread otherwise you are mentally sick and should never try to wrap your tiny little mind around things like this.

Anyone with decent understanding knows that 1000C would not even be close enough to allow fusion to happen to sustain the star's fussion to take place and
>Weigh the same
>Same size as each other
>Different temperatures
They cannot be the same size and have the same MASS as each other due to the 'cold' star being more dense than the 'hot' star you fucking mongol, this is down yet again to simple understanding of particles that we all know your meaningless existence can't comprehend.

they cant crash into each other becuz ice sun would fall down, because of weigh and gravity
and lava sun would be floating high because of hot air

so basically one is going up and one going down so if they ever meet it would have already happened so no need to question or didnt happen and we cant know. we dont have the science
>>
>>689046392
First off, replace "lava" with "plasma", and that's more accurate
Second, replace "cold sun" with "largest comet in fictional history"
Just to make it realistic

Now, what would happen? Well, the comet would provide more hydrogen and oxygen for the Sun to use as fuel for its nuclear fusion.

Yeah, basically that
>>
>-1000
Thats below absolute zero
But ignoring that, ice sun would just add more mass to lava sun which would make it implode and form black hole or super nova

-273.15 C is the minimum possible theoretical temperature because the kinetic energy of the atoms in the substance is directly proportional to its temperature. At -273.15 C the atoms are completely still, so you can't drop below that point.

You should have learned this in high school.

well because the temperatures are opposites the stars would repel, just like magnets. opposites repel each other, so they would never touch. so yea youre wrong. i dont know what would happen if you pushed them together because you need a lot more energy than there is in the universe, like at least 20000 volts or so, so there is no way to figure it out because its impossible

Our sun is made of plasma... Not lava and if it burns at 1000 degrees centegrade then its hardly a sun... More like a star.

A "sun made out of ice" would be a comet. And it probably wouldnt be conventional ice.

So it wouldnt be a sun vs. And ice sun: it would be a star vs. A comet

Also, like everyone has already said it cannot have the same density.

In short, the star would win.

Lava sun crashes into the ice sun causing extreme vaporization of ice. This in turn causes a massive explosion of expanding gases.

It is so obvious. Anyone who doesn't get it is fucking stupid. The ice sun would crash into the laVA one but would not completely cool it just one half around. So you would have a half lava half ice planet.

no, you could think that, but it is the same paradox as the open fridge in a closed room.
the room would actually get warmer and warmer because the fridges horsepower upkeep produces more heat than cold (no machine has 100% efficiency).
so after collision the sun would become hot and became lava again.
probably this is how our sun was created

If this happened the sun would get exponentially
hotter, in fact would melt every one on earth in about 10 minutes or so, the ice would would
actually add to the suns fusion, lets also not
forget that they would have to be going nearly
the speed of light for this to even happen given
the heat from the sun and the ice planet melting
before it even got near the hot sun

you know when you get really warm you go red, kinda like a sunburn? if you get warm enough you make light. well, just like when you get cold, you become blue, and if you get really really cold you make light as well. so a really hot star (at least 500 celtigrade) makes red light, and a really cold star (at least -500 celtigrade) makes blue light. did you never have biology at school?

1) white dwarf (least mass - below chandrasekhar limit)
2) neutron star (high mass - below Oppenheimer-Volkoff limit)
3) black hole (highest mass - above Oppenheimer Volkoff limit)

obviously other shit can happen which changes the outcome, like surrounding stars can have impacts on the things etc, however you'd need a star to be about 15-20 solar masses to start off with in order for the remnant core mass to have a weight higher than the neutron degeneracy pressure so that a black hole is formed.

Uh.. YES! THere is a lot of evidence. Our sun must have been created by an ice/lava sun collision because some of the ice was melted and this is probably where the water on Earth came from.
>>
>>689046392
Everything wrong with this post:
No heat or anything moving = no light.
Cold sun made of ice not emitting light = Planet of ice.
Would not crash into eachother, as stars don't move. Ice planet is not a star? Would still not crash due to it being in Orbit.
Weight actually couldn't be more off. It's 4.18 nonillion pounds, or 1.9 nonillion kilograms.
The ice-planet would likely be heavier, as it is a solid object. No evaporation or loss of matter during energy-retransforming
>Celtigrade
Our suns core (the hottest part) is about 15 million degrees CENTIGRADE.
The Ice would be at the coldest 0 kelvin, or -273 centigrade. This is the coldest temperature possible.
I know this is bait, but it was fun writing all this.

fucking idiot. negative temperatures are only a thing for the non absolute scales of temp (centigrade, Fahrenheit), while you can't drop below zero for the absolute scales (kelvin, rankine).

Centigrade (celsius) can be converted into Kelvin by adding 273.15 since a celsius degree = kelvin degree.

Hence, the minimum possible temperature without breaking the universe is -273.15 degrees Celsius (centigrade)

Well yeah, a regular sun.
>>
>>689046392
here are you faults
Suns are not made of molten rock they are made of plasma (extreme hot gass) further more a sun is way hotter than 1000 Celsius.
the core is +/- 15 million Celsius.
now the "cold" sun is just a chunk of ice and cannot go lower than -273,15 Celsius at this point atoms no longer move.
The sun would just melt the ice before it ever reaches the sun unless it fly at certain velocity the heat would still be to overwhelming and would simply absorb the water as fuel.
>>
>>689046392
Volume: 1.409x10^18 km3 = 1.409x10^33 cm3

A. Sun's not made of lava
B. -1000c doesn't exist
C. The sun is 5* warmer on the surface than 1000c. the core is 1.5*10^7 which is much hotter
C. 10 million pounds is not enough for even the smallest star
D. if something weighed as much as our sun, the weight would
E. something star sized made of ice would quickly heat and turn into a star
F. you're a faggot

the lowest temperature (absolute zero) is -273K but it is of course not the lowest temperature in the universe. just the lowest that we recorded in our solar system (on one of the Jupiter moons iirc).
Of course there are lower tempretures than -273K Celtigrades. Just freeze harder.

The normal sun isn't made of lava, it's made of nuke. But okay, I'll assume you've somehow got a ball of lava.
> Cold sun made of ice
Okay, I'll assume you've somehow got a ball of ice.
> both suns weigh the same, 10 million pounds
Hmm, that's not really much of a sun then. The regular sun is 440 octillion pounds. You have a small hill of lava and a moderately sized frozen pond?
> they are both the same size as our sun
Well then, that's going to make them both spread rather thin.
Our sun is 864 thousand miles across. Its volume is 33.88 quadrillion cubic miles. If you look closely, you might be able to spot some of the lava or ice particles floating in that sphere. Or perhaps we should make a thin shell out of it? Let's do that.
The surface area of the sun is 2.3 trillion square miles. The shell of ice is... 830 attometers thick. That's a little over half the distance that the strong nuclear force operates at. So... there's not really any sense in which we could call so thin a shell "ice". Or even "matter" really. So your cold sun made of ice is an unnoticable mist. Lava is denser than ice, so its shell is even thinner. 293 attometers. There's no sense in which that can still be "lava", or even individual molecules that were once in the lava.
The gravitational biding force of that mass at that range isn't sufficient to collapse them. They dissipate on the faint breezes of space, assuming they don't dissolve into energy from being spread so thin.

Thermodynamically, instead of flowing from higher temp to lower temp, is we reach the realm of negative kelvins, heat would flow from the negative kelvin object to the positive kelvin object.
