Re-makes target games that were made in the last 5-15 years usually. Unless re-making became so profitable that they actually started remaking a game that only came out a year before, (cough EA,) then there will always inherently be a stock of games to re-make, since new games are always being produced.

Yeah morrowind would be so much better. Never mind the fact that Bethesda half as ported skyrim into the Fallout 4 version of gamebryo to help familiarise themselves with the new engine before making Fallout 4. Skyrim would be a cake walk to port over. There'd undoubtedly be console mod support for it. Most likely adding in a lot of the cut content like the Windhelm arena etc

The problem with mods is that it's just a fucking mess, third party programs, constant actualizations, mods messsing with other mods, bugs, crashes, bad optimization, order installation, language messing (if you are not a native english speaker and your mods are in english you end up with half text/speech in english and the other in your language) etc... in the end you have a million mods you don't know what they do and you try to put order uninstalling some that seem unimportant but you end fucking up your current run.

I'd prefer to pay for a cheap expansion that is well optimized and everything works fine together and you don't need third party programs. It's easier for us people who play many games and can't be bothered to spend hours and hours looking for this mod or the other "and why this now doesn't work, and now I should install this script extender, and now I have to uninstall this mod and then re-install it after this one, and now this mod manager is better let's uninstall everyting and install it there, etc"...
