I went through this a while ago.
The sudden realizatiom that you are just going to die at some point. There's no two ways about it. Even if there's a magical potion that allows you to live for 100000 more years - you are still going to die.
But it's also the realization that everything must perish in order for the universe to move forward. Your kids will die. Your grandkids will die. Their children will die. The world will die. The solar system will die

Coming to the other realization which is somewhat comforting: You are not the first person to die and you sure as fuck will not be the last.
