Quite a fan of fantasy. So Name of the wind and the wise mans fear by Patrick Rothfuss are quite enjoyable.

Also enjoyed the Shannara series. Gentleman Bastards sequence *though i haven't quite finished them all yet*

Any fantasy fags here who could recommend a good read?

I listen to his audio books every night while going to bed. The thing about VALIS the you have to realize is that it's almost autobiographical for Dick. That's what kept me interested.

You probably know about them already but the Stormlight Archives (Brandon Sanderson) are great.

I also enjoyed the Cycle Of Arawn (Edward Robertson)

Both solid fantasy series.

Looks enjoyable enough. alot of books to catch up on though by the look of it. is there any recent series I could join in at?

Good choice. This is my all time fav as well. Havent watched the movie. Afraid it will take away from the book.

I also like Pillars of the Earth a lot. Spacing on the author

Hahahaha actually i just finished reading "The Final Empire" of the Mistborn books. quite fun. I'll have to check out the Stormlight archives for sure.

Sheeeit I totally forgot about the Mistborn series. Have you started the Victorianpunk sequels yet? They're fun but also kind of dumb.

I'd just start from the beginning tbh, the Paksenarrion novels are great! (mainly The Deed of Paksenarrion, but also Paladin's Legacy; The Legacy of Gird isn't quite on that level but they're kinda needed for background to Paladin's Legacy)

It's okay at best, because a lot of the book deals with Enders inner thoughts and motivations it was always going to be hard to show those on screen, although they didn't do a bad job with the film I've got to say the book was so much better.... I really hate having to say that because it makes me sound like a fucking hipster!.... I need to go wash now.

Can't really tell from that angle. but it does look like a chubby arm.

or i'm just losing the plot.

>jesus christ you literally said indecision was a female quality even though that quality is exhibited in both genders
Effeminate men who demonstrate the quality of indifference are demonstrating a feminine quality. It's not as difficult as your half-baked femme brain is making it seem.

I'm acting like I'm right because you're wrong.

>again!
Becoming overly emotional in a rational discussion is also a feminine quality. About time for you to pop out those tits now, sweety.

>I'm going back to talking about books.
About time you figured out you lost.

Favorite book from the series? I'd have to say the first one so far but I do love them equally in a sense. I never felt the need to put on down.

is the third any good?
>>
>>688396218
PLEASE read The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks. Its my favorite. Start with Way of Shadows. Get through the first third of the first book, because its really kind of rough, and you're hooked. TRUST ME ANON
>>
>>688412275
The post above yours was from me. I read the first two like six years ago. I really should pick it back up again and finish the third one. Also I never felt like the first third was too rough. a bit slow but rough? eh I dunno. Can't really remember it very well to be fair.

Yeh man some of my other favorites are a bit shorter, pretty much novellas, but the imagery and sci fi concepts are brilliant

RIVERWORLD SERIES
Everyone who ever lived wakes up at the same time on the edge of a giant river
WORLD OF TIERS
Old man enters a sentient being made pocket universe filled with experimented species sculpted and formed with machinery he didn't understand.

Both these complete works are fast paced, beautifully told stories made of about 6 books each

PHILLIP HOSE FARMER.

Another good one I havnt finished is

NAME OF THE WIND
Can't remember the author off hand

But is gud

I havnt read the second but Kvothé is one of the best protagonists and the flashing backwards and forwards helps you slowly develop a better understanding of this cheery innkeep
