Hello to you again, those of 4chan
I am here returning for the continuing of a cultural experiment. My first attempt tonight ended from lack of posting.
I was posting here the night before and a few great questions were made, I am hoping for more. For every question answered of mine I will indulge you for a question of yours.
I was given much great information about your sleep, but tonight I would like to make a question about your metabolism. I have understood that you consume other lifeforms to digest their tissues. I am familiar with this process, but not with the aggressive levels of your digestion like burning. It emits great heat, so much so you glow very distinct.
Is this heat from your cellular metabolism the product, or a side effect?
>>
Hello mr. Alien, Welcome back

Hello, were you among those posting with me the last night?
>>

The glowing is a side effect. The object is to transfer the energy from the life form you are consuming into yourself.

hello alienbro

thank you for returning earlier than last night, as i requested.

Many lifeforms, even many on this planet, are performing that transfer, but with much less body temperature. Mammals and avians are warm blooded and appear to be more advanced lifeforms. What are the benefits to such a high internal temperature?
Humans are the dominant species now, but at a past in your history were no predators a threat from such great heat radiation?

I am glad I could grant your request, and for having you time to converse.

i am eating right now as i am typing this.

yes our bodies produce heat from digestion, but we also produce heat from breathing and movement as well.

a benefit, i would think, to having such high body temperature is our speed of movement, and healing. we can heal very quickly.

i have a small burn on my left arm that has almost healed and it was given to me by a "lighter" almost 3 weeks ago.

Picture related

With the use of simple tools we were able to overcome any predator on the planet. Over a few thousand years we have built a thriving global civilization. Over the last hundred years we have traveled into space and landed on celestial bodies. Do you think we are progressing slowly?
>>
Welcome back, Mr. Ayy Lmao.
To answer your question, our stomachs have a somewhat weak acid in them that breaks foods, such as meat or bread, into their individual nutrients. The nutrients are then absorbed by the lining of our stomachs and distributed to our body. If by "glow" you mean in a thermal way, then the average human body temperature is 98 degrees Fahrenheit. This results from our bodies having a need to stay warm, if not, blood distribution slows down and we may lose limbs from blood being stored in the center of mass, to ensure we live. Blood is a liquid and liquids freeze, as I'm sure you're aware. The slower blood flows, the longer it takes to get back to the heart to be refilled with oxygen, thus making our bodies prioritize the more important body parts, such as the heart and brain, over less important parts, such as fingers and toes.

And now for my question, what does your species think of us? Are we frightening, funny, ugly, etc.
>>
>>688277172
Thank you, I will add this to my notes. You have my many condolences for your wound.
If you would like I can answer a question from you, to the best of my ability or understanding

Very much the opposite, your species advanced rapidly. I meant no offense by my suggesting of predation, I was simply being curious about possible shortcomings of a strength of your species.
>>688277497
Yes, thank you, the thermal glow of you is very great. It would make avoiding predators very hard in places I am familiar with. I am finding it very interesting about the amount of liquids in your body. I was aware your biologies were very wet, but I assumed it was a form of protection from your own heat, not being the opposite.
Thank you, this is all very fascinating for me.

My apologies, I forgot to return your answer.
I mean no offense, but we find your kind very frightening.
We hold no bad relations of placing blame however. We are understanding that all earth life, even weather and geography, is very violent, having great danger. We have understood that your race gained dominance and chance to advance by defeating the danger and violence around it. It is a world so full of resources, but also much fighting.
We have gone to great lengths to avoid being a target of yours, but are very fascinated by your kind.

It is a very confusing thing me.
I am to understand that your species can only detect a small fraction of the "electromagnetic spectrum"? But your brain can take the absorbed radiation and create an idea of all your surroundings? It is also your primary perception sense, yes?
My kind can detect radiation, but I think it is much different than your sight. I do not understand your colors fully, but I think they are labels for your sections of radiation like your notes are for sounds. Would this be correct?

The protective coating of your kind's skin is not a poison to us. We have our own protective chemical coatings, much like yours, for parasites and harmful radiation.
>>688279999
My kind reproduces "sexually" as opposed to "asexually" if I have understood these words, but have no biological genders. When we pair to mate, each shares a genetic parcel with the mate, and each develops a new infant. I am to understand that "pregnancy" and birth are very traumatic for your species, the female becoming crippled. It is not such an encumbrance for us, so neither must care for the other during the development.
>>
>>688279999
Also, I am to understand that you celebrate the assignment of rare post numberings? If I am understanding this than you have my congratulations on your "quad get", yes?
>>
>>688281472
okay real important question.

are you here with us on earth at a specific place and time?
or are you communicating to us through another unknown dimension? how are you doing so?
>>
>>688281902
Yes, on this board we celebrate the rarest gets.
>>
>>688281902
thanks alienbro. this is only my second time getting quads.
>>
>>688280271
Earth plants (primary organisms that draw energy directly from out star) evolved to utilize a narrow band (two small sets of wavelengths) of electromagnetic energy. This allows them to minimize the amount of rare earth metals required for their growth, which is good since elements 1, 5, 6, and 8 are very common here with our third generation star.

Since the plants absorb this color very well, they reflect others, which makes them easy to tell apart from other objects by using a very narrow bandwidth of light.

Paradoxically it takes a much more complex structure and more energy to have detail recognition between close but distinct "colors" than it does to have the ability to detect a wider range of em radiation, but it makes sense for the ecology we evolved in.

This is a difficult thing to be explaining. I interact with my limbs just as your kind, though I do not possess bones as your kind does.
We perceive our world through many means, we have organs that detect radiation, and organs that detect vibrations. With these we are aware of our surroundings within a small distance. I am detecting the radiation from the screen, as that is how this device communicates. I can tell the difference between the "frequencies" if I am reading the diagrams correctly, but I do not know if this is the same as your colors.

Heres why this is fiction.

1. Motive. What is the motive for advanced species to study us? Absolutely none, if you were able to make it to this planet and observe us, our actions are far from the concern of your advancements.

2. Probability. What are the chances an intelligent life form actually exists in its "Goldilocks" zone? Slim to none.

3. Translation. How can you interpret our language? How can we be sure you understand symbology when even HUMANS have a hard time translating each other let a lone an alien life form with "senses" differing from ours.

4. Even if intelligent life were to exist, what are the chances it will be more advanced than us?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is 100% no way in hell intelligent beings exist in the universe and even if they did they would likely be uncompatible with ALL forms of our language and culture.

Occasionally we imbibe water, but only when needed. We have not encountered anything on Earth with a similar biology, but it shares traits with the plants' photosynthesis.
Our bodies simply absorb energy from chemical reactions. We intake the materials required to make those chemicals when they deplete. Our society has advanced in the ways to prepare this, in a way that minimizes the waste products. We spend as time as possible under solar radiation, as it help for boosting the effects of the reactions though it is not necessary.
I post during the night because we perform our chores during the day trying to maximize time under your home star.

Our research is pure scientific. By understanding the processes of foreign species we expand our culture, and possibly discover an idea we would not have otherwise created.
I know of no council for this galaxy, or ruling bodies. To attempt dominance over others is an act of war, and usually results in conflict. Species that make war beyond their home rarely last very long, it is expensive and unwise.

the glowing isnt really a biproduct of eating, however we are required to intake other living things and breathe in order to keep ourselves "glowing" we naturally glow snek anon.. it is our life force, we are incomplete beings unable to sustain ourselves and must devour other living things and breathe in order to prolong our energy within this body.. however doing so also causes this body to age.. and that is another complicated matter.

>>
Excuse me Mr. Alien but I am curious, are the bodies of your species carbon based like ours? If not have you studied the effect the difference has?
>>
>>688273561
Ultimately, it is not lifeforms that we consume, it is the complex carbonic molecules. We extract electro-mechanical energy from the breaking of complex carbon bonds. The extraction process and the preceding energy operation is what creates the glow. However, you may note that the glow of some animal lifeforms is much much brighter than others.
The chemical processes and their components are designed to operate at common earth tempratures ranging from 285-314 Kelvin. This is not the case in the more recent climate processes of the earth in all sections where there is land mass, and animal cells evolved in 2 of the 5 classes of vertebrate animals that allow them to function optimally in a range of environments. It's internal climate control.

Alienbro, I just read all the posts in this thread and I have a question for you.

Assuming you are actually an alien, I would assume your kind might be more advanced than our own.
What changes can you make to our "table of elements"?
Can you tell me of elements we do not yet know of and how to synthesize them?

Yes, we have a similar method. We have organs that are sensitive to the vibrations.
>>688296195
I hold no offence at your choice of color, I cannot properly tell them apart the way you can. I will make sure to obtain permission to draw a crude diagram of our bodies from my overseers.
>>688296762
Our bodies contain carbon 6, but not in the quantity your kind has. Between the abundance of that element and the use of 8 in your respiration I wondered about the safety of the combustion of your cells fuel.
>>
>>688301726
The mitochondria is the power house of the cell.
>>

also, why are you on here if you can use a search engine to find all of the information about our bodies?

are you able to get permission to give us a diagram of your anatomy?

perhaps you can use the program MSpaint? are you capable of that?
>>
Does you species label one another with names? or you are referred to in another matter?

>>
>>688302189

>>
>>688302683

>>
Is your species a violent one like ours?
Does your species choose leaders?
>>
>>688301707
This chart is as accurate as it needs to be, if not more so. Many of the bottom section are unsustainable or unstable. Greater elements may exist, but probably not from start functions, and only having very tiny lifespans
Please give me forgiveness if I have skipped posts, I will do my best to answer all further questions.
>>688302030
I don't believe it to be accurate, but it is a worthy guess. I will do my best to transcribe a basic picture.
I am here because much of the information I have access to has no context and is meant for ones with prior knowledge. I am here to use my part of the experiment to acquire firsthand accounts.
I have studied the charts that were shared to me and have a following question. Your bodies emit "infrared" radiation, but I am understanding from our human relations that "'ultraviolet" is harmful to you. Is this because of the increased frequency, or some other factor?
My kind can be damaged by powerful radiation but the levels in the "ultraviolet" range are healthy for us.
>>
>>688303168
he says they're peaceful, and consider humans to be violent. with our wars and all.
>>
>>688303209
Ultraviolet light helps us produce vitamin D which helps strengthen our bones.

But too much UV light causes us to get what are known as sunburns.

High amount of uv rays can also cause cancer.
>>
>>688303209
>My kind can be damaged by powerful radiation but the levels in the "ultraviolet" range are healthy for us.
that's fascinating alienbro.

what is your name translated to our tongue?
>>
>>688302543
Research of the fascinating life is why we came to here.
>>688302683
I had worries this question would be made. My home language is part sound and part touch, and even though I can describe the sounds of basic words like my planet name, I have no way of typing my name. If a name is needed for our discussions, how can one be picked?
>>688302752
It is all hectic and beautiful. There are so many natural resources and thriving life, such a odd factor as a tilt of the planet axis to have such an affect of your weather is delighting.
>>688303168
No, we are not as violent as your kind seems to be. Our leaders are elected by ability and group discussion, though it is obviously complex.
>>
>>688303694
Alienbro, is there any kind of technological advances we can learn from your species that you would be willing to give out?

Special rocket engines, chemical knowledge, pharmaceutical knowledge?
>>
>>688303694
So are you able to provide the crude sketch of your appearance?
>>
>>688303694
Since you don't have a name, why not make one up using the name of the human that interests you the most?
If not, do you want me to try a name generator for you?
>>
>>688303694
If you need a name you can choose a name you've heard on Earth that you like. Personally I think alienbro is cool but if there's a name you've ever heard anywhere you want to be called we can do that too
>>

I had to research the word, but I do not understand us to be "telepathic". I have seen humans using a visual language with their limbs to communicate without sound, it has similarities to that, Touching establishes context while communicating, it took me a great trouble to learn pronouns from the difference between us.

>>688304832
We are circular but do have a front, and the two foremost are customary to cross when sitting, with the next two used as dominant limbs. We have no favor to one side however.
>>688304878
You were certainly odd, and not what we expected from your other animal life, but we have been more startled by other species.

My home planet is distinct being larger, it's gravity slightly more powerful than Earth has. He's still back there living with my mom.
He's a four legged little animal called a dog.
I named him bond, because he used to always sneak around the house like a ovie character named James Bond.
I grew up with him. I got the dog when I was 10 years old.
He's always been one of my bestfriends and has always been there when I needed cheering up. He's honestly the greatest pet and friend I've ever had, and I wish I could have brought him with me when I moved.

i have a dog he's very much a loyal animal. he's been protecting me sense i was about 7. but sometimes he acts out, stealing food from me, and sometimes being loud and barking for no reason. sometimes i am annoyed with my animal, but i remember that it's my responsibility to make sure that he has a happy and full life as my dog. he gets walked almost every day, and fed premium canned food and dry food twice a day. my mother and i try to make sure he gets the best food we can afford to buy, because he's about 13 years old. dogs do not live much longer, and i want to appreciate him while he is still around. I know i will miss him when his time to pass comes, but that dog gave me lots of joy while growing up with him. dogs are great animals for humans because they provide emotional support.

i hope this furthers your understanding of why humans have dogs as pets.

I am glad you formed such a positive connection to another living thing, I am delighted to hear this. Do you have any question for me in exchange?
>>
>>688284718
1) Why do we study animals or other lifeforms with little or no impact on us?
2) Astronomically high, especially when you consider that different chemical processes can occur in different temperature zones.. the high prevalence of chemicals, and simply the way matter interacts pushes powered systems to form a chemical order.

3) Study. Solid state-computers broke an encrypted language in the 1940's using limited data.. do you have any idea how much media we put out there? They probably plug all our information into a computing system that learns it just like chinese people learn english from watching movies.

4) Since chemistry pushes for the creation of order, and the number of systems in even a few hundred light-years of us, we can determine that at least some are more advanced. Those ones who ARE more advanced would likely seek out other forms of life (intelligence and curiosity go hand-in-hand from an evolutionary standpoint). I'm sure we wouldn't be the only ones.

Tourism.
I am guessing that some of the larger ships that pop up on earth are cruise ships since they stop at places that are considered landmarks.. such as large cities and busy airports.

Also, they sometimes appear from one angle, but not the other. I remember one time in a relativly rural area between some major urban centers people reported seeing a giant ship from the west looking east.. but people precivably on the west side of the ship could not see it.
Sectional EM and fluid distortion fields? I'm guessing they fail from time to time.

Most reports of the large ships appear out of nowhere then quickly fly away.. maybe realizing they are compromised.. Am I correct in this?

We still have not mastered rapid global transportation, we don't have a universal language, the education varies across the areas, and we still have regional polymorphism, and most of all we are at such an apex that we have nothing to compete against but ourselves.

I figure that most intelligent races reach an intelligence level where they alter their environment enough to halt evolution, and I would conjecture that most reach this plateau at the same rate. Keep in mind, we have only invented micro-computing 3 generations ago.. which is less than an average lifetime. Technologically assisted evolution is in it's infancy, but it certainly growing forward.
This forum is one of the earliest stages in human cybernetic enhancement.

This has been our first exploration of Earth, though we have been here for a great deal of time before I was allowed to communicate here. You are not the first we have explored. We have researched a great many worlds, though you are among only 14 with life, and among 3 with advanced civilizations. This does not included previously known civilized planets. This is the first I have personally explored, though, and I am grateful, it has been a great enjoyment.

Not what I saw. I am referring to large scale reportings about massive stationary objects.. appearing then jetting off into space. Not aircraft, not small reflective things.
I assume that there is some form of spacial distortion going on.. that's why there is no sound or drag in addition to being undetectable by any conventional electromagnetic means.

This is very fascinating to me. You have wise thoughts, and I hope you use them well in your life.
I would love to compare this to my races development but my time to be here is nearly done. Your home star is appearing and my duties will begin shortly. I will return the next night, and hopefully speak with you all again.
Good bye and good luck to you

I've always dreamed of exploring the stars, how does your kind do this?
Do you have a cryo stasis to keep yourselves alive while in transit from your home planet to other star systems? Do you have long lives that allow you to live during your transit? Are your engines fast enough that time does not matter?

Most of us become dormant during travel, and our vessel moves to distant places very quickly. I am not in charge of the technology however, and cannot explain how it works, much of it is unknown to me.
