Fogo de Chao (spelling is probably wrong, but just Google it) is a Brazilian steakhouse that is a must try. That and Portland City Grill are both expensive, but worth it imo. For something cheaper (and I think better) head over to the east side and go to Cartlandia. It's a bunch of random food carts in the parking lot of an open-space bar (The Blue Room, I think) that has free live music and stand-up comedy most nights. Get drunk, pick the food cart that sounds the best, then go inside, sit and enjoy the half-decent music. It's a Portland miracle.

Lemongrass is an awesome Thai place in a NE neighborhood, Little Big Burger has good burgers and fries, SFNY on the west side has a good 4 cheese pizza. Those are ones off the top of my head, honestly the only thing I haven't been able to find is a decent Mexican place. I'd kill for a good taco.

Same guy here. Go to 82nd and Burnside, on the east side again. There is a Walgreens there (where I used to work), across the street is a Asian market, next to that is a tire place, in the parking lot of the tire place, hopefully there is still the same taco truck. It was there for the whole year I lived/worked there. Best tacos and burritos I had in Portland, get any dish with almost any of the meats that they have. All amazing. Plus the family running it is the best. Definitely need to try it! I ended up doing there almost every day.

For sure! There's some good restaurants and bars along 82nd (and other places), even though most of the east side is viewed as shit. Definitely check them out. It gets pretty sketchy later at night. So either go early or get a group of people to go with. The good places are spread out on the east side so if you can get a d/d and a group of people then you're set!

Looking for something pretty low key with just straight up good quality food and some interesting options? One of my favorites is Santeria. I love the Chimiganga al Pastor.
A little more upscale with a full bar? I like Casa Del Matador which has a great happy hour menu.
Wanna go up in the world? Departure looks like 10 forward on the Enterprise and serves well made but somewhat small portioned modern food.
Lastly, going all the way up in the world is the tallest restaurant in the city, Portland City grill. It is 30 stories up, gives the most amazing views in town, has a full bar, and actually decent prices, a lot more snobby people there, but who cares.
