I enjoy it quite a bit. Extremely well balanced, trigger is real nice (I've heard some people that complain about it because of the two stage, but it doesn't bug me and they make models without it) and doesn't break the bank. Would recommend trying one out.

The armscore revolvers or the Rock Island 1911's are rather awesome and a CZ 82/82 are outstanding if you can find them all those choices are under 300$ don't be afraid to look used lots of quality guns that are not what the cool kids use now are still good firearms like Dan Wesson revolvers etc. they can be had for next to nothing and will last longer than you if cared for.

Well of course I'll drill with those every now and then as well--as often as I can afford to. Maybe shoot them once or twice every time I go to the range, then spend the rest of the time shooting the cheap shit just for aiming practice. It's not like the extra recoil will be a complete surprise to me if I ever really needed to use it. I just can't afford to spend hours shooting .357 all the time.

With a gun, it is much much harder to rob someone unless you too have a gun. With any half ass decent training its easy to pull a gun and shoot. My current time is 5 seconds. to pull it out, and pull the trigger with it aimed on target. 5 seconds is a long time, you can hear every heartbeat when in a dangerous situation. To not carry is asking to be robbed or killed with no way to defend yourself. I dont like being a victim, i like being able to know i can defend myself if it happens again. Im not scared about the what ifs, not anymore.
