i had one a couple summer's ago.
by the end of 3 months i had 2K+ subs and 20K+ grand total views at which point i lost interest and started doing other stuff.

People need to realise that creating a sucessful yt channel is really hard to do. Even getting a few thousand subs is hard. Unless you pay up some cash or get a shoutout from someone, you have little to no chance to grow a channel and you would be extremely lucky to even have 1000 subs especially these days. Everyone is just following cancerous commentary channels and do not give a fuck about the hardworking youtubers who spend their life on the site but get <1000 views per vid.

Not really, tons of people compliment my channel but they say that I just need a better camera and mic. I've seen a bunch of popular youtube channels that are really unfunny and I know that I can do better than them. I currently have 219 subs and it has been gradually increasing, it just takes time, and you just gotta hang on.

If you have to question if you are cancer... then you are. The terms used on 4chan, like cancer, are cancer... so just call your work shit if you aren't srue. And if you aren't sure then it's probably not your best work. Your ego is eager for a quick return and you'll likely do a sloppy job just to get some shit up. Do something three times before you upload it. Do the same process that you do now. When you are done with what you think is gold and you are about to upload, stick it in a folder called "draft 1" and do it all over again. Do it 3 more times and don't reuse any of your content. There will always be room to improve something. You just have to get to the point where you know that your next iterative version won't yield a high percentage of better.

but again there are communities and all kinds of resources out there that you can use. get in contact with sound engineers. it takes like 5 minutes to make a ding sound dude. people will help you as long as you give them exposure. (knowledge and credit their work)
