I'm tinkering around on guitar. I'm not soloing, and don't want to overdo it and dominate the middle range, especially with there being other guitarfags who will want to contribute. And without a set bassline it's hard to get some good supporting chords together. Yeah man, I've never worked in 32-bit floating point, but it's a lot heavier on the system. I dunno what the other specs refer to. If it's exporting without a problem, I'd say just wait. Although I see what you are going for in the drumset part, it doesn't have the soul of the player that it deserves for a laid back jazz piece like this. Gonna keep a recording of the regular and work on getting a good recording on a drumset so its not held to a 16th note grid. I'm actually working with it. I don't think the mix I've got has to sound perfect, that'll be part of the song's charm haha.
So far I've mixed my synth solo and your groove with the piano from the original recording, so I can upload that and maybe you can pop some other people's recordings on top of it.
