Looks like most of the people are blaming the parents when its the zoos responsibility to keep the animals safe from people not people safe from animals otherwise there would be no such thing as a zoo

I mean I think it's kind of shitty what happened but i'm not outraged that they killed the gorilla. The way the gorilla was acting suggests the kid probably wasn't in any danger but you can't be 100% sure of that the gorilla won't just turn and become aggressive.

Bottom line is they needed to get that kid out of there as quickly as possible with the lowest risk of harm to the child. I think it's understandable that they made the choice they did.
