Her mother (Pam) is kinda the town drunk, I've always been kind to Pam, even before I fell for Penny. Pam use to be the town bus driver, until it broke down and she basically lost her job because we can't afford it. So I've been doing what I can to figure out how to restore it. But Pam drinks quite a bit, and when I helped Penny clean up their trailer, she sorta blew up and they got in an argument, I realized it happened quite often. Pam isn't a bad person though, and she appreciates my help and how I care for Penny.
The forests near Mt. Fuji are famous for being the place to die quietly and not be found. Some old novel mentioned suicide in those forests, and the popular consciousness now has it that if you're hanging yourself, you're "supposed" to do it there.

Oh; *do* try to get diagnosed and use the meds. They can make you a bit dumber and less creative, but you can judge whether you want to keep taking them once you know how they work.
They don't do shit for me, but I'm in the minority.
There's a book called "The Depression Cure" that says you should also:
1) Get eight hours of sleep every night and at about the same time.
2) Get 30 minutes of natural sunlight on your face every day.
3) Get 30 or more minutes of cardio every day.
4) Try to eat well, and put extra effort into getting omega-3 oils in your diet.
These four things, in this order, are supposed to do a whole hell of a lot to help. The book explains why, but you can figure that shit out on the internet also.
